Ice Cream in Bags

We made these for RS the other night. They would be fun to make with your kids! I have even heard where you pass the bags around the circle while you are shaking them. Each bag makes about one serving.

1 Tbs. Sugar
1/2 C. Milk or Half and Half
1/4 tsp. Vanilla
6 Tbs. Rock Salt
1 pint size Zip lock bag
1 gallon size Zip lock bag
Ice cubes

1. Fill the large bag half full of ice and add the rock salt. Seal the bag.
2. Put milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small bag and seal it.
3. Place the small bag inside the large bag and reseal. Consider putting the entire bag into another bag to ensure no spills.
4. Shake until mixture is ice cream, about 5 minutes.

Then top with your favorite toppings: chocolate, caramel, strawberries, cookies...etc.

I think the kids would have a blast doing this. Maybe we will try it out next weekend.
